Technical report. NFL Week 6, Thursday October 15 through Monday night October 19, 2026 (all 14 games). 2026 regular season only, garbage time removed.
Scope
All fourteen NFL games of Week 6, 2026 regular season, from Thursday night's Seattle at Denver through Monday night's Washington at San Francisco, including the Houston-Jacksonville game in London. Four teams (Buffalo, Jacksonville, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington) are on bye in Week 7. All data is 2026 regular season only.
How to read this
EPA (expected points added) scores every snap by how much it changed a team's chance to score. Garbage time, the snaps after a game is effectively decided, is removed from every per-play number (EPA, success rate, CPOE). CPOE is completion percentage over expected. Yards, plays, third downs, giveaways (interceptions plus lost fumbles) and sacks are full-game counts on pass and run plays; yards per play counts sacks as lost yards. The tape margin turns each team's total EPA over the whole game into the point margin it normally produces, based on this season's completed games. The flattered column is the scoreboard margin minus the tape margin: positive means the scoreboard was kinder to that team than the plays were. Red zone trips are drives that ran at least one play inside the opponent's 20. Power ratings are opponent-adjusted EPA per play, offense minus defense, garbage time removed, with recent games counting more than older ones; the equal-weight full-season rank sits in its own column.
Data availability
All data layers loaded. Play-by-play, schedules, official injury reports and charting cover all 14 Week 6 games. Player-tracking passing data covers 29 quarterbacks for Week 6. A second weekly passing file covers only Thursday's game (Seattle at Denver), so it is used as a two-team cross-check only. Pass-rusher and blitzer counts are blank for Monday night's Washington at San Francisco game, so blitz rates exclude that game; drops, contested balls, throwaways and quarterback-fault sacks are charted for it. No official Week 7 injury report has posted yet, and a news search returned nothing verified for Week 7, so injuries below are the official Week 6 report.
1. Game by game
SEA at DEN (Thursday, both teams on 4 days of rest, Denver altitude): Seattle gained 355 yards on 81 plays to Denver's 169 on 56 and lost 17-14. Seattle gave the ball away 3 times to Denver's 0 and took 5 sacks. The tape has it Seattle by 0.8.
HOU at JAX (London): 839 combined yards, no sacks either way, one giveaway each. Houston won 34-31; the tape has Jacksonville by 1.2.
CHI at ATL: Atlanta was minus 0.571 EPA a play with garbage time out and took 5 sacks; Chicago blitzed on 54 percent of Atlanta's dropbacks. 43 snaps were garbage time. The tape has Chicago by 12.1 against a final margin of 8.
BAL at CLE: 235 yards for Baltimore, 237 for Cleveland, 4.12 and 3.95 yards a play. Cleveland won 13-10; the tape has Baltimore by 1.3. Baltimore's defense pressured Cleveland on 37.8 percent of dropbacks, the highest rate of the week.
TEN at IND: Tennessee won 26-20 on 187 yards and 44 plays. Indianapolis had 399 yards on 77 plays, 3 giveaways and 6 sacks taken. The tape has Tennessee by 1.2, a game that was close to a push.
NYJ at NE: New England won 26-19 against a tape of 2.3. The Jets scored a touchdown on 1 of 4 red zone trips.
NO at NYG: biggest scoreboard gap of the week. New Orleans won 34-27 despite 320 yards to New York's 464 (4.78 yards a play to 6.72), 1 giveaway to 3, and 5 sacks for the Giants to 0. Saints receivers dropped 6 passes. The tape has New Orleans by 1.0.
CAR at PHI: Carolina outgained Philadelphia 401 to 222 and the tape says Carolina by 14.4 against a final of 11. Philadelphia played without Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley (both Out on the official report).
PIT at TB: both offenses were poor: 5 sacks each, Pittsburgh 4.12 yards a play, Tampa Bay 3.07. Tampa Bay played without Baker Mayfield (Out).
ARI at LAR: Arizona won 18-16 and went 0 for 5 in the red zone. The tape has Arizona by 5.6.
LAC at KC: Kansas City won 22-6 on 7.73 yards a play to 4.11. The Chargers were 0 for 3 in the red zone and were without five players ruled Out, including tackle Joe Alt and safety Derwin James. Kansas City was off a bye (14 days of rest).
BUF at LV: scoreboard and tape agree (Buffalo by 3, tape Buffalo by 3.5). Both offenses moved the ball; Las Vegas was 7 for 12 on third down.
DAL at GB: Green Bay won 23-13 and went 11 for 18 on third down. Dallas threw 55 passes and its receivers dropped 6.
WSH at SF (Monday): San Francisco won 23-17 and moved to 6-0. San Francisco was plus 0.320 EPA a play to Washington's minus 0.191; the tape has San Francisco by 9.6, so the 6-point win undersold it by 3.6.

5. Charted data and pressure
With charting for every game, quarterback fault can be split from receiver drops and protection. New Orleans' Tyler Shough finished at minus 19.0 CPOE, but 6 of his 30 attempts were dropped (Chris Olave 3) and 10 were contested balls; had the drops been caught his completion rate goes from 53 percent to 73 percent. Dallas' Dak Prescott (6 drops, 2 by CeeDee Lamb) and Green Bay's Jordan Love (6 drops, 3 by Matthew Golden, plus 3 quarterback-fault sacks) also lost completions to their receivers. On the other side, Pittsburgh's Aaron Rodgers took 5 sacks and Cleveland's Deshaun Watson took 5, with zero charted as the quarterback's fault: those were protection or coverage problems, not quarterback decisions. Atlanta's Michael Penix took 5 sacks, none quarterback fault, but threw only 3 touchdown passes on a minus 0.740 EPA a dropback and 9 contested balls.
Pressure: Baltimore (37.8 percent of dropbacks ended in a sack or quarterback hit), Denver (35.1) and Tennessee (34.0) created the most; the Giants (3.1), Indianapolis (4.3) and Jacksonville (5.7) the least. The Giants blitzed on 53 percent of New Orleans' dropbacks and produced no sacks and one hit. A second source for Thursday's game agrees: Seattle's Sam Darnold was pressured on 32.8 percent of dropbacks and Denver's Bo Nix on 30.0 percent, consistent with the play-by-play rates.

6. Players who looked better, and worse, than they were
Looked better than they were: Michael Penix (3 touchdown passes, minus 0.740 EPA a dropback with garbage time out, CPOE minus 19.1), Cam Ward (Tennessee won; 11 of 22 for 102 yards, CPOE minus 20.1, 1 touchdown and 1 interception), Dak Prescott (34 completions on 55 attempts but minus 0.296 EPA a dropback and 2 interceptions), CeeDee Lamb (minus 9.23 EPA on 12 targets), Derrick Henry (17 carries, 58 yards, minus 8.89 EPA, one lost fumble), Emeka Egbuka (16 targets, 48 yards, minus 11.48 EPA), Jonathan Taylor (21 carries, 94 yards, but minus 4.76 EPA and a lost fumble).
Looked worse than they were: Patrick Mahomes (no touchdowns and one interception, but plus 13.2 CPOE on 20 clean dropbacks and no sacks), Aaron Rodgers (5 sacks, none charted as his fault, plus 5.6 CPOE), Jayden Daniels (29 of 38, 300 yards, 2 touchdowns, plus 16.3 CPOE in a loss; four sacks dragged his EPA to minus 0.148 a dropback), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (12 catches on 16 targets for 134 yards and plus 11.45 EPA in a Seattle loss), Trevor Lawrence (plus 0.268 a dropback with 3 receiver drops in a loss), Geno Smith (plus 0.194 a dropback in a seven-point loss), Christian McCaffrey (2 rushing touchdowns, plus 6.07 EPA on 13 carries), C.J. Stroud (312 yards, 3 touchdowns, plus 0.373 a dropback, best of any quarterback with 20 or more clean dropbacks), Caleb Williams (plus 0.299 a dropback, plus 13.6 CPOE, 4 sacks).

9. Coaching flags (directional only)
Directional flags only, never a grade; samples are small and coordinator names are not in the public data, so flags are at team and head-coach level. Neutral situations are first or second down in a competitive game, outside the last two minutes of a half; the pass rate figure is points above or below the expected pass rate in those situations, full season. The Chargers (Jim Harbaugh) pass 13.1 points less than expected, Tennessee (Robert Saleh) 9.7 less, Atlanta (Raheem Morris) 8.9 less, Baltimore (Jesse Minter) 8.4 less, Tampa Bay (Todd Bowles) 7.4 less. Fourth down: the Chargers faced 10 fourth-down snaps Sunday and went for it on 3, converting none. Defense: Minnesota (minus 0.192), Seattle (minus 0.164), Tampa Bay (minus 0.145) and Chicago (minus 0.135) have the best recency-weighted opponent-adjusted defenses; Dallas (plus 0.138), Miami (plus 0.116), the Giants and Buffalo (plus 0.105 each) the worst. Defensive samples are 6 games or fewer.

11. Power rankings after Week 6 (32 teams)
Ranked on recency-weighted, opponent-adjusted net EPA per play, garbage time removed, 2026 only. Net is offense minus defense (a negative defense number is a good defense). The full-season columns show the same rating with every game weighted equally. The biggest disagreements are Green Bay (6th now, 15th equal-weight), Houston (9th vs 16th), Detroit (12th vs 17th) and the Jets (11th vs 14th) on the way up, and Denver (19th vs 11th), Buffalo (16th vs 8th), Seattle (13th vs 7th) and the Rams (20th vs 12th) on the way down. Prior rank comes from this same rating run before this update, so it can differ from the order published in last week's report. "Paris" marks the neutral-site game.

12. Schedule and injury outlook
Week 7: New England at Chicago is Thursday on 4 days of rest for both teams. Pittsburgh plays New Orleans in Paris (neutral site, international). San Francisco goes to Atlanta on 6 days of rest. Cincinnati (14 days of rest) visits Baltimore, Minnesota (14) hosts Indianapolis, Miami (14) visits the Jets, Green Bay visits Detroit (14), Denver (10) visits Arizona, Kansas City visits Seattle (10). Buffalo, Jacksonville, the Chargers and Washington are on bye. Injury context from the official Week 6 report: Baltimore (Lamar Jackson), Philadelphia (Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley), Tampa Bay (Baker Mayfield), Cleveland (Dillon Gabriel), Washington (Marcus Mariota) and San Francisco (Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel) were Out; Week 7 reports post midweek. Remaining opponent strength is the average net rating of a team's remaining opponents (higher is harder).
13. Limits
Six games is a small sample and a one-game gap is a direction, not a measurement. The recency weighting leans on the most recent games, so a few teams move 8 to 10 spots in a week; the equal-weight columns show the steadier view and the two disagree materially for several teams. Player-tracking CPOE and play-by-play CPOE differ in places and both are shown. Blitz counts are missing for Monday night. Coaching and defensive observations are directional only.
